William Fischer and Arthur Sinclair had been told all their lives not to go into The Madman's Forest. According to their elders, it was the home of an unknown monster that drove people mad. William and Arthur always thought it was just a silly story that was meant to keep children from getting lost or being attacked by wild animals.
